and call or stop in to register. Not sure which class is
best for you? You are welcome to come in and try any class
BEFORE you decide. The Berks County Senior Centers have
something for EVERYONE. Give us a try!

Blood Pressures at Providence House – Blood pressures and weight
screenings will be given at Providence House on Monday, July 9th at 10
a.m. Free, all welcome.
Evening Dance at the Shoemakersville Fire Company – Join us on Thursday,
July 19th at 7 p.m. for entertainment by “Gruber and Company”. Cost
$3.50.
Sponsored by the Berks County Senior Citizens Council.
Bingo will be held at Providence House; every other Wednesday from
12:45-1:45 p.m. Since lunch is served there until 12:30 p.m., please
arrive around 12:30.
We will play 15 games of regular bingo, three cards for .25.
The scheduled dates for bingo at Providence House are: Wednesday, July
11th, Wednesday, July 25th, August 8th & August 22nd & September 5th.

players!
Bible Study with Reverend Aregood is being held at Zion’s U.C.C. 824
Washington Street in Reading on Mondays from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Thank you
Rev. Aregood!
Modified Exercise Classes with Rita Minotto – Will be held at The Manor
at Market Square, 803 Penn Street on Fridays from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Special thanks to The Manor for having us!
The Horizon Singers – Will be rehearsing at Olivets Church, corner of
Centre Avenue & Exeter Street in Reading on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. – 11
a.m. Thank you Sandy Cafurello and Olivet’s Church for these
arrangements!
Art Classes – Will be held at the Goggle Works during Reading Center
renovations. Daryl Szajek and class participants will be having their
classes on Wednesdays at the Goggle Works. Thank you Goggle Works & all
class participants for your help during renovations!
The Council’s Craft Class – Will be having classes at the Mifflin Center
in Shillington with Jayne Booth on Thursday, July 5th & Thursday, August
2nd from 9:30 – 1:30.

FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE- Join us for our Evening Dance at the
West
Center on August 24 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m... The
music will be presented by Janet O’Such. There will be a
charge of $3.00
for the dance and snacks will be served at half time. See
you there!
MASSAGE- This month Cathy will be here on Wednesday, July 11
at
9:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m.. Call the Center for a 15 minute
appointment for
only $10.00. Get rid of your stress and relax.
KINGS on a CORNER- This card game is held on Monday, July 30
at 1:00 a.m.. The game costs $1.00 and is easy to learn and
fun to play.
55 ALIVE CLASSES- We will be having driving classes on
Monday, September 17 and 24 between the hours of 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m.. Call
the West Center to sign up for classes at 610-670-1372. The
fee for the
class is $10.00.
ON GOING ACTIVITIES – Need to get in shape? We have some
great classes and instructors in our Exercise programs.
Aerobics are held on Tuesdays and Fridays, Sit and Get Fit
on Wednesdays . The Weight Resistance Classes are held on
Monday at 9:15 a.m.and 10:30a.m., also on Wednesdays at
10:30. The Yoga class is held on Thursday mornings at 9:45
a.m.. And for another way to keep your self in shape try our
Beginning Line Dance . For times and fees on any of our
activities please give us a call at 610-670-1372.
LOOKING AHEAD: 55 Alive Classes on September 17 and 24
